Teoremi (Italy)
I Teoremi (1972)
Genres:hard rock
This is an Italian hard-rock album in the noisy department, but not as progressive or as exciting as RDM’s “La Bibbia” or their “Io Come Io” or Atlantide’s “Francesco ti Recordi”, Teoremi is clearly a hard-rock band. They play long, hard and noisy songs with zero originality – the way it was meant to be. So you can hear all the British influences in their music but also some Italian. And no, they couldn’t stay away from the in-the-studio-standard-drum-solo. Why can’t anybody – if they now must have a drum solo on – be slightly inventive or unorthodox behind the kit? I’m sure it can be done differently. Also strong blues undertones present throughout the album, but don’t get any ideas – this is not comparable to Biglietto per L’Inferno’s or Alphataurus’ kind of bluesy heavy progressive rock. Think Led Zeppelin’s first but noisier and not as bluesy but instead more hard-rock like. The singing from Lord Enzo is good on the entire album. This album has its moments although they are far too rare and as a whole this record is pretty uninteresting.
