This one must be one of Sweden’s most overrated albums; all categories. This is basically a bunch of hippies playing (or toying) with their instruments, which include everything from cello to zither. All tracks except two are instrumental, some songs are long extended songs of repetition, while others are short and more influenced by Swedish folk music than psychedelic rock. Typically for this kind of music, the sitar and tablas are used heavily.
Personally I don’t like Swedish folk music that much and this record, which combines that and psychedelic rock, don’t impress me much. Very much in common with Third Ear Band, especially their self-titled 1970 release. In conclusion: boring, a real sleeping pill.
