Analogy Analogy

Analogy (1972)

Genres: psychedelic rock, proto prog

review by daniel

Analogy was a German band living in Italy. They played bluesy and psychedelic proto-prog, even though the record was released in 1972. The song-writing and the execution are equally mediocre; substandard psychedelic rock with extended and uninspired organ and guitar solos. The band featured a female singer and her voice is dark and not that expressive. Add to that the murky sound quality of the recording (that gives the impression that the drummer is sitting in the basement) and you have a mediocre album. It does not hurt to listen to it, because it does not leave much of an impression. And yes, they are naked on the cover (I wonder why all-male bands never try that gimmick).
