A band with no electric guitars – at least no credited ones – but with plenty of superb acoustic ones and more surprisingly, no keyboards. I mean surprisingly because surprised is what you feel when you at last discover the fact that they have no keyboards, you will hardly notice the lack of them though, in its place Circus plays a lot of saxes, vibes and flutes. We are met by five tracks of which the title-track takes up all of side B. Complex stuff with a sometimes jazzy feel, other times more pastoral sounding, but always highly progressive.
With all the sounds from the acoustic guitars, saxes, flutes, the bass etc. we find the drummer to be the centre with absolutely top-notch drumming. The singer has a light and clear voice, not unlike the lead singer in Gnidrolog but clearer still. The band itself is in the same vein as Gentle Giant, Gnidrolog, Yezda Urfa and Gryphon (circa “Red Queen to Gryphon Three”. There are few negative things – if any – to say about “Movin’ on”. One or two tracks have some problems (uninteresting parts, a little to much background music and the likes) though it isn’t really that remarkable. This is a record that most sure will please fans of Gentle Giant and Gnidrolog especially and Yezda Urfa and Gryphon thereafter.
